NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Town of Manteo Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Manteo Town Hall, located at 407 Budleigh Street, Manteo, NC. The purpose of the hearing is regarding proposed text amendments to the Town of Manteo signage and flood damage prevention ordinances: Article XVIII Sec. 18-6: Prohibited Signs, Article XVIII Sec. 18-8: Signs permitted in the B-1 - Article, and XXVI: Federal Emergency Management Administration Requirements
As a result of this hearing, substantial changes may be made in the proposal as advertised to reflect objections, debate, and discussion at the hearing. For more information, you may contact the Planning Department at 252 473-4110 or email planning@manteonc.gov. A copy of the proposed document is on file with the Town Clerk for public inspection during regular office hours and will posted on https://www.manteonc.gov/ .
