ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the Town of Manteo Town Hall Renovation Phase 2, will be received by the Town Clerk of the Town of Manteo, North Carolina at the Manteo Town Hall located at 407 Budleigh Street, Manteo, NC or mailed to PO Box 246, Manteo, NC 27954 until 2:00 pm on Monday August 24, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Complete Project Documents may be obtained digitally at no cost from the Town website at https://www.manteonc.gov/departments/finance/purchasing/view-bids-rfp All updates to this solicitation shall come in the form of published addenda and shall be published to the same location. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to check the website for addenda prior to submission of a bid.
There will be a pre-bid conference for this project on July 30, 2026 at 2:30 pm at 301 N US 64 hwy, Manteo, NC. Attendance is mandatory.
All Contractors submitting bids shall possess a valid North Carolina Contractor’s License. A Certificate of General Liability Insurance (minimum $1,000,000) and proof of workers compensation insurance shall be attached to each bid for consideration. Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit equal to 5% of the net price bid. This deposit may consist of cash, or bank cashier’s check, or a 5% Bid Bond issued by any Insurance Company authorized to do business in North Carolina. This deposit will be retained in the event of the failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten (10) days after notice of award or to give satisfactory surety as required. The successful bidder must furnish a payment and performance and materialman’s bond from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of North Carolina for the full amount of the Contract price prior to execution of project contract.
The bidder to whom this project is awarded shall have two hundred and Seventy (270) calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed to complete the terms of the contract for this project.
The Town of Manteo reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Posted this 20 day of July, 2026.
